Animal Alphabet | Mini Brief No.1

So following our recent visit to Bristol Zoo, we were given a mini-brief project titled 'Animal Alphabet'. The task is quite self explanatory - we get to illustrate the letter of the alphabet we had selected at random by incorporating an animal with the name or breed beginning with that letter. I had chosen the letter 'C' here are a few pages from my sketchbook with doodles and ideas.

I was quite sure I wanted to concentrate on birds as I had an urge to draw them! I looked at Cardinals (above) and Chickadees (below) in particular for their wonderful colourings.

And here is my final piece of a 'Chickadee' (or a Blue Tit, rather)
